Ali joined me in Jingdezhen on June 28th, just as the IAC's 52nd Biennial Congress, Inheritance and Innovation, took flight. More than three hundred international delegates filled the city's galleries and the Grand Theatre Conference Centre. I was in my element—reconnecting with old friends and meeting so many new people.
